Cozy Boudoir Outfits
When it comes to what to wear for your Embodied Art Boudoir shoot, the focus is on comfort & authenticity. A big reason I don’t offer a full-client closet is because I want my clients to bring their own pieces that they love & that bring out all sides of their personality & vibe. It’s so important to express yourself.
I always remind clients: please don’t bring something you didn’t like at home to the shoot, because you won’t suddenly fall in love with it. If you’re unsure of an item, swap it for something you know you feel good in. It’s astonishing what the right outfit can do for confidence!
It’s also astonishing the shock waves people get when I tell them lingerie is not a ‘must do’ for a boudoir shoot. Sure, it can be fun to play with sexy lingerie pieces but not everyone feels best in that look. What someone might feel the hottest in is something cozy.
You are what brings the sexiness, sensuality & fun by showcasing your soul & your personality.
Let’s get into some inspo.
Cozy Vibes
A cozy boudoir is exactly how it sounds: dreamy, homey, & aesthetic. With the help of my professional emotional & posing coaching, we will unlock different sides of you while keeping things fresh & sexy.
Sweaters
Do you have a sweater that has sentimental value? Or just one that you love? Grab it and let’s get you behind the camera! We can try pairing a flowy sweater with cute panties, stockings or even thigh highs. If you’re going for oversized, make it not too oversized so that your body doesn’t drown in it.
Socks
Yes, socks can be sexy, just look at the image below for proof! Over the calf, knee-high and thigh-high are the most boudoir-esque.
Soft Fabrics
Nothing says cozy quite like soft, comfortable fabrics. Get dressed up in fleece, bamboo, suede, jersey or velvet for added texture in your images.
Flowy Fabrics
Silk, satin, or chiffon—the perfect partner for a boudoir shoot. These are inherently luxurious fabrics & just feel good on. They also look good on camera, too. We can have a lot of fun dancing, moving & swaying for photographs in these pieces, too.
T-Shirts
Never underestimate the power of a good Tee! Just like they have the ability to throw together an outfit, they can be a fun element for a photoshoot.
Cozy Encounters
If you feel the hottest in something cozy & thought you could never pair it with a boudoir session…think again! I love playing with different textures, fabrics and concepts to get the shot & there’s nothing better than clients feeling confident & happy with their outfits. It brings out a whole other side!
