Some Of My Favorite Boudoir Outfits I’ve Photographed Recently 

Outfits, outfits, outfits. I absolutely love playing with different clothing during a boudoir photo shoot while learning about my fabulous client through their wardrobe choices!

What you choose to wear is an informal introduction to your personality, interests, beliefs, and even your mood that day! It can be a ton of fun – but most of us, have to limit our playfulness to a specific setting: work, school, meetings, etc. 

There is one place you can completely let loose with your fashion: a boudoir photoshoot at EAB, of course! 

What To Wear To A Boudoir Photo Shoot 

Whenever a client asks me, “What should I wear to my boudoir shoot?” My response is pretty simple: whatever makes you feel confident! 

Your shoot comes with three outfits! While that may lower your nerves, some of you may be thinking: that’s it?! There are so many ways to style yourself for a boudoir session, and trust me—they all can look stunning. While many people assume boudoir means a matching lingerie set (which, if that’s your jam, go for it!), you’re not limited to that classic look. If you do love a lingerie moment, I highly recommend getting professionally fitted beforehand for the perfect fit.

When choosing colors, go with what makes you feel confident and radiant—you deserve to shine.

Or maybe your sexiest look is an oversized tee paired with cheeky boyshorts. Maybe you feel most like you in a curve-hugging bodysuit. Boudoir isn’t one-size-fits-all, and there are endless “non-traditional” ways to make your session uniquely yours—funky accessories, unexpected clothing pieces, or a mix of styles that show off your many sides.

The beauty of outfit choices: They don’t just change your look; they shift the energy. Want to channel sultry and mysterious? Soft and romantic? Bold and playful? The right pieces help you embody every mood you want to capture in your shoot.

This Bodysuit From Thistle and Spire

Okay, firstly, if you aren’t familiar with Thistle and Spire, let me introduce you. They are a bad-ass, female-founded clothing company based in Brooklyn that is out here challenging the status quo through their daring looks designed to include everyone, regardless of size, shape, complexion, orientation, gender, age, or ability.  When you buy from them, they donate a percentage to the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union)

I love how effortlessly sexy this body suit is. It is completely sheer but still allows for significant coverage with the embroidery, with a cheeky thong panty to accentuate that booty. 

A Royal Moment

Um…Why not wear a crown!?  Elevate your shoot with a golden goddess crown, which completely takes this more simple, strappy black bodysuit into a showstopper. I love that we paired it with a body chain too, for a little more texture.

Chill & Chic

Drake said it best when he sang, “sweatpants, hair tied, chillin’ with no make-up on, that’s when you’re the prettiest…”  (If you’re a no-makeup gal, we can go for a natural makeup look to accentuate your features for the camera 😉 

But seriously, I love this look. Simple, sexy, timeless and does not require a big purchase before your shoot, as you likely already have these pieces in your closet.

Fun & Flirty

If you’re someone who loves to express themselves through color and funky pieces, you’ve come to the right place! We had a lot of fun during this shoot where the client wore rainbow sheer fishnets, paired with bright happy/sad acrylic earrings and a matching yellow choker (very 90s!) 

Magical & Matching 

Please, a moment for this matching strappy bra and panty set!!! I am a sucker for a traditional matching set, especially in this subtle and gorgeous shade of blue that is beautifully complemented with a sexy hint of lace and mesh.

Body-ody-ody-chain

For this shot, the booty is the main character (as it should be).

This is a complete look: a simple black thong paired with a camera-catching, glistening body chain. The body chains you see here are available in my Bonus accessories closet for clients.

LBD 

We pulled out her most flattering black bodycon dress—the kind that hugs in all the right places—and paired it with sultry black fishnets. A classic little black dress never fails, right? Simple, timeless, and utterly irresistible.

A Silky Robe 

There is nothing sexier than a silk robe paired with a pair of sheer, silky high-waisted panties, like this look! It comes across so well on camera. I love how elegant this look is.

Casual & Meaningful

I LOVE it when my clients bring in personal items. These clothing or jewelry pieces often hold cherished memories, adding a personal touch.

This client had a long-running joke with her husband about how she stole his Ghostbusters shirt, and they bonded a lot over Ghostbusters. She went out & bought a new T-shirt (the old one was, well, pretty old-looking) for her boudoir photoshoot. She was worried it would be too corny, but it ended up looking SO sexy & authentic.

If you feel ready for it, let’s show off your body! There are plenty of poses & little tricks to maintain modesty (or not!)

What Will You Wear To Your Boudoir Shoot? 

What you wear is the least important part of your day! 

While it’s true you should wear something that will make you feel your best, the shoot is all about highlighting your beautiful body & posing you. The wardrobe is not the main event of the shoot – you are! 

I’m genuinely excited to photograph you in a flowy sheet, scarf, tee shirt, or a matching lingerie set – whatever makes you feel your absolute best. As long as it fits & feels physically comfortable, we’ll be able to pull out the sexy, confident, badass you!
