How do you feel about makeup? Are you more of a natural gal or someone who lives for dramatic, show-stopping looks? I love the creativity that makeup allows, and how it weaves a fun story. Though I don’t wear it often myself, when I do it’s to add drama and use my body as a canvas.

Makeup allows us to be playful while highlighting our favourite features. With so many different eye shadow pallets and lip colors available, I love seeing clients embrace the process!

Included in your boudoir experience is a lush experience with a professional makeup artist and hairstylist! My team is incredibly talented and amazing at delivering the look you really want. They will work closely with you to determine what look will bring out your special features best. I always encourage my clients to bring photographs of looks they really like, too so we can bring them to life.

Most makeup translates beautifully to the camera, and there are plenty of directions we can take your look.

Makeup Looks that Translate Well on Camera

The classic, smokey eye: I love a bit of smokey eye. It’s not a traditional everyday look, so lots of women have fun with the drama and sensual allure it creates. The smoky eye is almost an ombre look, fading from a dark, explosive color at the lash line to a sweeter, lighter tone towards the brow bone. It blends beautifully and can make your gorgeous eyes pop! The color palette can vary from mysterious dark blacks to something funkier using pinks and purples or keep to neutrals with golds and browns.

Pop of color: Bring on the color! I think going colorful is a bold and brilliant choice, and a fantastic way to show off your unique personality. There are many directions that can go from contrasting colors, blended to even a full rainbow lid. A current trend that is circulating right now is bright, bold eyeliner (think pink or blue) paired with a subtle undertone for a cool contrast. I also love a more subtle eye paired with a funky lip! Let’s get creative!

"Black

Winged Eyeliner: Meow! Winged eyeliner is a gorgeous, feline-inspired look that is a total beauty hack. It elongates the eye and can make your eye color really pop! It’s a sweet look that pairs drama with charm.

Behold the Bold Lip: You’re never fully dressed without your lipstick! A bold lip will add a full dimension to that pucker of yours, that is sure to bring out your inner fierce model. Bold lip could mean contrasting lip liner and lipstick or an out of this world pop of purple, black or classic red.

Natural Look: I am here for natural beauty! You might think a photoshoot needs boisterous makeup but, let me tell you, it’s not a necessity! I love doing natural looks, especially if that is what is going to make you feel the most confidence. We achieve this through neutral, dewy, and clean colors for a fresh-faced, natural look.

No makeup: I think it’s amazing when women tell me they want to do a no-makeup look. I think it’s incredibly badass and absolutely possible. Just let me know your intentions so we can arrange with the makeup artist.
