You may be feeling happy, excited, and maybe a bit liberated. You may also feel fear or uncertainty about what to expect before your first boudoir photoshoot, during, and even afterward. 

Well, you’re in the right place! In this blog, I’ll walk you through what to expect for your first boudoir photoshoot. 

What to Expect BEFORE Your First Boudoir Photoshoot

I know how overwhelming it can feel to do something new for the first time! So whether it’s your first boudoir photoshoot or you’ve done one years ago, I’ll ensure you feel completely prepared before you even step foot in the studio.

After you book your shoot, you’ll receive a bunch of emails explaining the details of what to wear, how to prepare for your photo shoot, recommended products, payment plans, and special bonuses! 

Then, a few months before your shoot, you’ll receive an email to schedule your pre-shoot consultation! This is the time to ask questions, purchase a Collection, choose your bonuses, and get my help figuring out outfits for your shoot!

What to Expect DURING Your Boudoir Photoshoot

Your boudoir shoot is all about YOU. Because remember – You Are a Masterpiece.  After arriving at the studio for your shoot, get ready to be pampered by hair & make-up!

This is your chance to relax & enjoy. Your hair & makeup artist will get to know your skin/hair type, and preferences and understand your style to create a look that you’ll absolutely LOVE & feel confident in.

We’ll usually finalize outfit choices with you while you’re in the chair. Before we start, I’ll lead you through a guided meditation to get into the self-love mindset & send good vibes to your body.

Finally – time for the photo shoot itself! It typically lasts 60-90 minutes. Butterflies and nerves are going to happen, so I make sure to cheer you on! If you want, I’ll show you some images on the camera so you can see how incredible you’re looking.

Post-session, you’ll head out to lunch nearby while I work on your images.

What to Expect AFTER Your Boudoir Photoshoot

After your shoot, you may feel tired & ready for a break. Here’s what you can expect after your boudoir photoshoot at Embodied Art Boudoir

While you’re at lunch re-fueling, I’ll be busy editing your images & creating a mock-up. Once you return, you’ll see your completed images for the first time. Yes, you read right, you will see your photos for the first time the SAME day as your session. Talk about instant gratification!

Once you finalize your image & product selection, you’re all set!

Unless you’re upgrading, you won’t need to pull out your wallet. Instead, my clients pre-pay for their desired Collection (many with payment plans) so they can relax & let go on photoshoot day.

Within 3-4 weeks, you’ll receive your order from your photoshoot, serving as empowering proof of your body as art.
