The Stripped Down Course aka My Summer School

I just finished my Week 1 coursework for Stripped Down – woohoo!

This will be my third time going through Stripped Down: The Art of Emotion intensive coaching course for boudoir photographers.

Each time I undertake this 14+ week training with my photography mentor, Denise Birdsong, I experience a major evolution in my skills as a photographer & boost of passion for what I do.

The Stripped Down coaching method has enabled me to take my photography from “beautiful image” to “artwork that celebrates the diverse facets of an individual’s authentic personality & beauty.”

This week’s class was about IntimacySexuality, and Shame. Yea…Denise is not messing around. She goes deep.

She doesn’t just teach photographers how to coach their boudoir clients. She helps us evolve our inner worlds & comfort with vulnerability to be worthy of your trust in such an intimate style of photography.

This week’s class made me wonder…

So many of my clients decided to do a boudoir photoshoot to explore/celebrate their sexuality, or to feel deeper intimacy with their own body & self or intimacy with a partner.

(And shame is one of the biggest barriers to doing a boudoir photoshoot)

Why have you considered a boudoir photoshoot?

Are your reasons related to intimacy, with yourself or someone else? Or to express your sexuality? Or something else?

It’s easy for me to get stuck in the perspective of a photographer, artist, business owner, bookkeeper, marketer, etc.

But it’s important for me to understand you, my (hopefully) future client

😉
