My Secret Sauce

Last month I completed an emotive coaching methodology program…for the THIRD time!

No, I didn’t fail the first two (lol).

I just wanted to continue growing my skills & expertise, to create better imagery & experiences for my clients.

People often tell me my portfolio looks different than others. They see more variation in expression and more personality in my photography.

I learned how to do that through this Stripped Down – Art of Emotion intensive mentoring program!

Why bother though?

Because I believe – Boudoir isn’t just about B&T – butts & tits.

It’s the most intimate style of photography!

Your boudoir photos shouldn’t just reflect your sexiness – they should show off your silly, confident, relaxed, and sassy sides too. And soooo much more even!

You’re not just a hot ass. You’re not just a beautiful body. You’re so much more than that – inside & out, and your boudoir photographs should reflect that.

Here’s an example of the range I’ve learned to coach my clients through, in a matter of only 5 minutes:

The set above was from the Stripped Down workshop I attended in the Bay Area this past October.

Here’s another example from my studio:

I just love how you can see so many different sides of each person, and really get a sense of their personality and what makes them special, from boudoir photography!

Being my third time completing this program, I wanted to give myself a challenge – conveying emotion without seeing the face.

Some emotions were easy (longing, confidence) and others were more challenging (desire, coy flirtation).

I’ve also been playing around with coaching my clients through a wider range of emotions on my Nudescapes set, which can be a little challenging (but fun!) given the abstract-ness of this style.

Do you see?? It’s not just about how beautiful you are – which you are.

It’s about celebrating ALL of who you are.

That’s why mindfulness & body positivity are core pillars of my work at Embodied Art Boudoir.

Mindfulness – being guided to connect deeply with your body & heart for your photoshoot helps you express yourself authentically

Body positivity – knowing all bodies are celebrated and seen as beautiful helps you let go of fear and shame around expressing yourself authentically.

By combining mindfulness & body positivity with the emotive coaching methodology, you get a boudoir experience unlike any other

You get a peak behind the curtain – who could you be when you’re not consumed by overthinking, self critical thoughts and self-doubt?
