I find little details magical. Call me boring, but planning is key! When it comes to preparing for your boudoir photoshoot, I do A TON before your big day to help you to feel ready & as prepared as possible. 

Anxiety & stress often stems from fear of the unknown. The last thing I want is for you to get increasingly nervous ahead of your photoshoot—I want the opposite! As each day comes, I hope you will feel energised & psyched, ready to show your stuff & to model as you’ve never modeled before!

Ways I Help You Feel Ready & Prepare For Your Boudoir Shoot

Let’s walk through the steps of working with Embodied Art Boudoir & what it looks like. 

Every single woman who is considering doing a photo shoot with me will do an initial phone call.  During this call, we will chat about your expectations, desires, & what you hope to get out of the photoshoot. I’ll cover all the basic details about the experience – what’s included in the experience, how much it costs, and the different artwork options I offer. If you have any questions about the process, now is your chance to ask them!   

Once you book, you will be emailed a very detailed Welcome Guide. This 30+ page guide is a great reference point to visit again & again throughout the process. In it, you’ll find all the juicy details including the full pricing, Artwork options, Bonuses, example photos of everything, and even a payment plan breakdown so you don’t have to do the math! 

During the payment plan setup call, you’ll get to ask me any questions you have about the Artwork and Bonuses before we set up your payment plan (unless you’re paying in full).

If you didn’t know, all the payment plans I offer are no-fee and no-interest! Plus there’s no hard credit check because I set them up in-house. I want to ensure a luxury boudoir experience is affordable & accessible for the everyday woman! 

Around this time you’ll also be getting your new client Welcome Gift in the mail. I’ll let the gift be a surprise, just know I chose this to be a helpful resource to help you deepen your self love practice between booking & actually doing your photoshoot!

I’ll then forward you all the details to my very comprehensive Style & Prep Guide. This is brimming with excellent pieces of boudoir planning gold: from what to wear, to local stores to buy lingerie, to how to make your skin glow! 

A few weeks leading up to your exciting photoshoot, you can opt for an optional pre-shoot phone consultation. This is a chance to brush out any jitters and chat about details, from bonuses, outfits, to any concerns you might be having. I pride myself in having great styling ability, so I am happy to discuss options of what you want to wear, including what colors & styles pop on camera.  I am 100% here for you so please know that no question is off-limits or “silly.” 

In the mix of all this stuff, you’re getting emails from me with resources for healing your body image, journal prompts, prep tips, and more! I’ve created a lot of materials to help you get SO MUCH from this experience.

To help you feel increasingly excited, I will fire off a few reminder emails in the days & weeks prior. These emails will include last-minute prep tips, little tricks & the address of the studio!

On the day of the big shoot, you will get a day of text from me that will include driving & parking directions. Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time for travel, as traffic is unpredictable. It’s always better to be a little early than late. 

When you arrive at the studio, you will be welcomed into my zen den with open arms. My hope is that you will immediately sense the calm environment I strive to create, to help you to feel relaxed & ready.

You will then be whisked away by my wonderful professional hair & makeup artists who will pamper you! You are a masterpiece the way you are, they are only there to enhance your stunning features. They will help you to unwind & get in the mindset of self-celebration. 

Once you’re feeling yourself, we’ll sit down for a Pre-shoot conversation.

This will just be the two of us, and we will chit-chat about your expectations, intentions, your comfortability & consent. Throughout the shoot, I will completely respect your personal space, boundaries, and agency. This is YOUR space to shine, where you don’t need to please anyone else.  

Following this, it’s time for my specialized Pre-shoot guided meditation. I will lead you through the process to help you center your mind and connect to your body from a body-neutral perspective, so you feel ready to step in front of the camera. No problem if you are new to meditation, this is a no-pressure situation and I encourage you to feel whatever comes up.
