Jason & Kelly’s Evergreen, CO engagement session was so fun and beautiful! The short, uphill trail led to a stunning viewpoint of the foothills and the perfect setting to celebrate the adventurous spirit these two share. Scroll on for the full story and engagement photos!
This story is about Jason & Kelly, an awesome couple I had the pleasure to hike with and photograph shortly after the coronavirus restrictions were lifted. We were so happy to finally get outside, enjoy a good hike to a beautiful viewpoint, and take some gorgeous photographs! And we practiced social distancing with me wearing a mask throughout the session.
These two are huge sports/fitness fans. Kelly & Jason met while she was completing her PhD in sports management and moved to Denver for Kelly’s job – teaching sports management at a university.
And moving to Colorado definitely turned out to be the right choice! These two love to hike and explore the great outdoors. We talked about their plans for the summer, which include hiking, rafting, backpacking, and more!
They even inspired me to set up a kayaking trip with some friends – a perfect way to socialize while socially distanced!
This was my first time on this trail in a small park in Evergreen, CO and I loved it! Though it was a consistent uphill trek, the trail is only 1.3 miles to get to the viewpoint. You won’t get too sweaty. 😉
Exploring new-to-me places with fun and adventurous couples like Kelly & Jason is one of my favorite things about my work.
I love hiking with my couples – we usually end up in really cool, less crowded places PLUS it gives us a great chance to get to know each other before diving right into the photography. I think hiking together is the best way to break the ice and get energy levels up for a fun and enjoyable shoot!
