When planning your boudoir shoot, the outfits receive a lot of attention (and rightfully so). But here’s a not-so-secret truth: it’s not just about what you wear—it’s about how it makes you feel. By adding the right accessories, your look—and your vibe — can be taken to the next level.

That delicate necklace that catches the light just right. The harness can make you feel powerful as hell. A cozy sweater that brings soft, undone energy. Accessories aren’t just add-ons—they’re part of the story!

I love to see what creative looks my clients come up with, which is a primary reason I don’t offer a client closet. My advice for selecting your accessories is to avoid anything that comes across as costume-y (unless you want to go all out & live your Fairy Dream fantasy!) 

Jewelry

Jewelry options are endless.

Maybe you’re into bold statement pieces that command attention, or you lean more toward delicate, sentimental favorites—like a charm bracelet from someone special or a pair of sparkly studs that feel like a wink in accessory form.

One of my favorite things about incorporating jewelry into a boudoir shoot is how it can highlight your favorite features without saying a word.

Think: a long pendant necklace gently grazing your cleavage (🔥), or chandelier earrings that dance when you laugh. Whether glam, sentimental, or somewhere in between, the right jewelry pieces can bring texture, light, and magic.

Shoes

Shoes can tell a lot about a person – this doesn’t change in a boudoir shoot.

Reach for shoes that help you (literally) stand in your power. If you are someone who doesn’t normally wear heels, here’s the perfect excuse to wipe off that dust, as they can beautifully accentuate your leg & perk up that booty. 

But heels are NOT  the only option. Prefer sneakers? Have a pair of sweet wedding shoes? What about showing off your beloved Crocs? Let’s do it! 

Pasties 

Pasties, nipple covers, titty protectors—whatever you call them, they’re a great addition to your boudoir shoot. Gone are the days of plain skin pasties- there is a whole world of incredible of fun, colorful, and unique covers. 

A few months ago, I shared* that I love attending raves – the REAL ones, where we dance all night to top-notch music in a warehouse. Besides the connection, ability to let go, and dancing all night long, I also love the creative outfits, including, yes, pasties! Robes 

And no, I’m not talking about your cozy fleece number from 2014. Think sheer, silky, or satin—something that catches the light and whispers elegance (or sultriness… or both).

Robes are one of those underrated accessories that do so much heavy lifting. They add movement, layers, texture, and a whole new world of posing possibilities. A beautiful robe brings softness, drama, and just the right amount of tease.

Sheer Scarfs

The fun of a sheer scarf is endless, adding dimension and texture. It can also help your nerves settle as you can lean on it for posing!

If you want to take it a step further, you can even opt for nothing underneath & wrap yourself in the scarf 😉 

Sheets 

There’s something undeniably sexy about the white sheet look.

It’s timeless, effortlessly elegant, and lets your natural beauty take center stage. There’s a softness to it—a hint of mystery—that never goes out of style. Like: Sunday morning meets sensual goddess.

Want to dial it up a notch? Drape the sheet and wear just a pair of panties underneath. Or nothing at all. Either way, you’re in full control.
