Best Accessories for Your Boudoir Photoshoot

Outfits are an important element of boudoir photoshoots — not because of what you wear, but how you feel.  When you put on something that makes you feel special, it will shine through: in your posture, your glow, your smile & your attitude. 

The right look has the power to transform you into a confident model, ready to pose & show your stuff behind the camera. 

When we discuss boudoir outfits, one thing tends to get left out of the conversation: accessories!

I’m here to stop that & have dedicated this entire blog to the topic, as accessories can bring a whole new element of fun & creativity. 

EXTRA, EXTRA, EXTRA – Accessorize it  

I love to see what creative looks my clients come up with, which is a primary reason I don’t offer a client closet.

My main advice when it comes to selecting your accessories is to avoid anything that comes across as costume-y (unless you want to go all out & live your Fairy Dream fantasy!) 

Jewelry

Jewelry options are endless.

You might be a statement piece girly or perhaps prefer a sentimental charm bracelet or even subtle, sparkly earrings.

One thing I love about adding jewelry is its ability to draw attention to your best assets!

Imagine a long necklace, gorgeously draping your cleavage. Hot!

Shoes

Shoes can tell a lot about a person, & this doesn’t change in a boudoir shoot.

Reach for shoes that help you (literally) stand in your power. If you are someone who doesn’t normally wear heels, here’s the perfect excuse to wipe off that dust, as they can beautifully accentuate your leg & perk up that booty. 

But, heels are NOT  the only option. Prefer sneakers? Have a pair of sweet wedding shoes? What about showing off your beloved crocs? Lets do it! 

Pasties 

Pasties, nipple covers, titty protectors—whatever you call them, they’re a great addition to your boudoir shoot. Gone are the days of plain skin color pasties too, there is a whole world of incredible of fun, colorful & unique  covers. 

A few months ago I shared that I love attending raves – the REAL ones, where we dance all night to top notch music in a warehouse.  Beside the connection, ability to let go, & dancing all night long, I also love the creative outfits, including, yes, pasties! Robes 

No, not the fluffy one you’ve had for years, but a sheer, silky or satin robe will do the trick! 

This seemingly simple accessory goes a long way, adding beautiful texture & a whole new world of posing options. 

Sheer Scarfs

The fun of a sheer scarf is endless, as it adds dimension, texture & can help your nerves settles as you can lean on it for poses. 

If you want to take it a step further, you can even opt for nothing underneath & wrap yourself in the scarf 😉 

Sheets 

I love the white sheet look!

It’s a really sexy approach that is timeless, classic & simply beautiful. Like the sheer scarf look, there is always the option to take it a step further & just wear panties underneath.

Trust me, I will pose you so your modesty & boundaries are 100% respected!

Veils 

What better way to relive the splendour of your big day then by including your veil in your boudoir shoot?! 

You can rock it however you wish—in addition to a stunning outfit, with lingerie, or if you have a cathedral veil, why not let it work its magic & keep it minimal underneath!?
